How
it all started
The award-winning 4 The Lord quartet began near Richmond,
Virginia, in 2003 by a group of men who wanted to keep singing
and praising God while the mixed choir at their church was on
summer break. The mixed choir never resumed, but 4 The Lord is
going strong!
The members of the quartet are Maurice Anderson, the “How does
he go that high!!!???” tenor; Bill Fales, the comedic lead with
a country twang; Dick Kiger-Nelson, the oh-so-smooth and
melodious baritone; and Tom Nelson, the songwriter
extraordinaire and bass.
These men share their joy in the Lord with others at churches,
evangelistic meetings, conventions, fairs, amusement parks,
sporting events, jails, nursing homes, and on cruise ships.
They regularly attend the National Quartet Convention and won
the 3rd place trophy in the quartet competition in
2008.
While primarily a southern gospel group, 4 The Lord provides
something for all tastes, including 50’s rock and 70’s soul,
with a good sprinkling of comedy. You’re invited to join them
in loving and praising God through music!
